I am your Master of Ceremony today and my first assignment is the Introduction of VIP Guests after I explain the Korean War Medal of Honor Recipient posters.

We have three (3) Korean War Medal of Honor Recipients. Please look at the poster boards and take a 8.5” x 11” copy.

Sergeant LeRoy A. Mendonca was 18-years old when he was killed on July 4, 1951. He was a JROTC at William McKinley High School and had graduated in 1950.

Private First Class Anthony T. Kaho’ohanohano was 21-years old when he was killed on September 1, 1951. He graduated from Saint Anthony’s School for Boys in 1949. He enlisted in the Hawaii National Guard after high school.

Private First Class Herbert Kailieha Pilihau was 23-years old when he was killed on September 17, 1951. He graduated from Waipahu High School in 1948.
